In
Ethan's Sixtieth Month he turned 5! Oh yes, and Mummy had her Birthday as well... so they posed for their annual shot together on the day.
There were lots of celebrations, starting in April while Pa & Ma were still in town, we had a pizza party at their place, then a delicious chocolate cake.

On Ethan's actual Birthday, he celebrated with his friends at school, chocolate cupcakes were on the menu, I feel a chocolate theme starting here...

Then he went out for dinner with Mummy and Daddy in the evening and yes, you guessed it, finished the meal off with 'chocolate' mousse :-)

There were a few presents when Ethan woke up, the theme here was definitely 'Star Wars'. What a great Birthday it was but wait, it has been going on for weeks and STILL he has a bowling party booked this Saturday for his friends. It's never ending this Birthday stuff but we will have to wait for next months blog to see the bowling photos.

During the month, Ethan prepared for the big day (& all the chocolate eating) by jogging with his Dad. He is also running the 4km Mothers day classic again this year on May 8
th and Mummy has been telling him he needs to train but he figured this one 2km jog was enough and he's ready to win the race on Mothers day.

Ethan also had a visit from the Easter bunny this month, yes, more chocolate...

But once again is learning that you have to pay for that chocolate that you eat so went out for a bike ride after Easter Sunday breakfast (not chocolate).

Earlier in the month, Pa & Fran were still in town Ethan took them out for a ride in a
tinnie from Palm Beach. They don't look to comfortable with Ethan & Daddy's driving do they? Why are Pa & Fran
the only ones wearing those life vests, do they know something we don't?

Ethan took them over to the Basin (safely, life jackets were not put to use) where he left them, and lost them for a few hours... but eventually met them again at Mackerel beach. I guess they felt safer hiking by land but we beat them by see in our
tinnie :-)

To finish off as we have on Birthdays before, here is your update on....
SOME OF ETHAN'S FAVORITE THINGS... AGE FIVE:
Height/Weight - 114cm (3ft 9in)/18.8kg (41.5lbs)
People -" Tristan, Tyson, Nathan & Mitchell" (no mention of Mum or Dad...)
Food - "Pasta, Pizza, burgers, fish & Sushi"
Toys - "Star Wars ship & Figures" (especially Yoda - he can even spell that one), "Ben10 bouncy ball" (basically every thing he got for his Birthday).
Do - "Cuddle with Mummy on the couch & play with my toys" was his reply when asked before bed tonight, but usually he would rather play fight with Daddy.
Favorite things to say - "I love you Mummy, Pa, Fran, Daddy, Gramma Lana, Auntie Lou & Maurice" he said it tonight, we didn't make that up... but he has taken to saying "I hate you" when he doesn't get his way at times as well.
Dislike: "When girls beat me up at school" - Mummy will be speaking to his school about this comment tomorrow...
