In
Ethan's Fifty Ninth Month - Pa & Ma came to visit. Ethan was very excited as it had been more than 2 years since he had last visited them in Canada. This was Ma's first trip to Australia and Ethan did his best to show them a bit of his Country and planned a road trip. Stopping off in Port
MacQuarie, then
Yamba, staying at each for one night. We all enjoyed a nice tapas meal in
Yamba (above) and a bit of a swim at the beach the next morning (below).
Yamba was also home to few very cool swings so Ethan had a go with Pa, Ma & Daddy on each of these. This was Ethan's first time to
Yamba but a cool place so maybe he will go back there sometime soon.

The main destination of this trip however, was Byron Bay. Byron is of course well know for it's surfing so Ethan tested the waters with his new wet suit and body board.

Before taking Pa out and showing him how to do a bit of body surfing.

Byron host the 'most easterly point of the Australian mainland' so of course Ethan had to take Pa & Ma there, bit of a hike half way up to Byron light house but worth the trip.

Then of course since we were half way up... we kept hiking to the top of the hill and got a photo of some very hot hikers from the top of the Byron lighthouse hill, looking back over those beautiful Byron beaches.

It wasn't all grown up stuff while in Byron, last year Ethan's friend from the Roundhouse (Floyd) moved up there and as luck would have it, Floyd was celebrating his 5
th Birthday while Ethan was in town so they made a trip to Movie world together.

Seeing Floyd again was great, it had been 6 months since they had seen each other but it was just like old times. They had a great time at the park, going on lots of cool rides, seeing a few cool shows. They got to meet
Scooby Doo!!!

AND Cat woman, what more could a 5 year old boy hope for???

Byron was great for 5 days but then it was time to head back to Sydney with one very important stop on the way. Ethan know just what a dog person his Pa is so we made a detour through the Hunter Valley and stayed at the '
Myalls Away farm stay' for a few nights so that Ethan could introduce Pa to his favorite Aussie dog 'Jack'.

FYI - Pa & Ma are still in town so watch out for next months post to see more on their visit back in
Fairlight... and of course somebodies Birthday celebrations...
