Thirty Ninth Month

In Ethan's Thirty Ninth Month he had a very full and busy four weeks. However we are starting with the last first, and here is EQ hangin' out on a Sunday arvo late in the month of July 'n da hood' (Manly beach). There has been a lot happening this month and no event is more important than the next so he is just going to tell you about them all... in the order that they happened.

Early in the month his friend from school 'princess' Emily invited him to her Birthday party at clown town, they had lots of fun and ate lots of yummy food, and had a magician as well showing them some tricks.
Ethan took full advantage of Sydney's 'family fun day' passes this month, (public transport ANYWHERE for only AUS$2.50!) On this first Sunday he took the ferry into Circular Quay and did some 'clowning' around with Mummy's friend Suzie :-)
The following Sunday, he caught ferries to Darling Harbour and went to the Maritime Museum. He got to go on this cool Pirate ship (actually... it was HMB Endeavour replica - the ship that Captain Cooke discovered Sydney in!).
Ethan and Mummy even had a go at steering that big ol' pirate ship! Avast, me hearties! At the museaum Ethan also got to go and explore a very cool submarine with Daddy, down they go...So many boats and a very busy Sunday... Ethan was beat and fell asleep in Mummy's arms as soon as they got home. It has been a very long time since Mummy's baby boy fell asleep in her arms so she enjoyed the moment, ahhhh.
Yet another Sunday trip... this time Ethan caught just the ferry over to Circular Quay for his annual visit to Sydney's 'Aroma festival'. (C0ffee Fesitval) Coffee for Daddy at $2 a pop, Chai for Mum and hot chocolate for Ethan, he even saved a little for later on his lip :-) Lots of yummy taster biscuits as well.

This year Ethan got a ride on a camel at the festival. Our camel mate behind called 'Jack' was very friendly and the one we rode (Eloqua sic) had a lot to say. It was great fun, Ethan announcing to everyone "look at me, I'm on a camel' and check out that view!
So much for Sunday's... this is Ethan during the week at his very first trip to the dentist where he even gets to wear 'sunnies' in the dentist chair. Check up went well and he is looking forward the tooth fairy coming to collect his teeth (and leave him some money...) in a few years time.
This was a Friday outing, Ethan went with his Friend Samara to see a 'Roary The Racing Car' show (a popular children's tv series brought to 'life' on stage.

Last but certainly not least, Ethan got to celebrate Mummy and Daddy's 5th wedding anniversary with them. We all went to Bowral in the heart of the Southern Highlighlands for 3 days of self indulgence. Here at the hotel entrance...
Ethan made a good friend, the hotel cat that went by the name of 'Holden'.
The weather inland was cold but bright so Ethan enjoyed some nice walks around the grounds of the hotel.
He had some wonderful fine dining experience, but with so much good food... he had to hit the gym to work some of it off...no pain no gain you gym junkie.More walks in the grounds of the hotel and this time we managed to find a horse!
Then he pretended to be the fairy that he found in the fairy gardens, "Shhhhh".

Almost time to go so Ethan takes a moment to reflect on his lovely weekend away out front of the swimming pool, this is the life... can we come here every weekend please? As Ethan drove home from his weekend away he made a quick pit-stop in Picton at the rail museum where he attempted to drive a very old train!
He checked out the quarters of a sleeping carriage with Daddy, what is that Daddy is sitting on???Then hung out the windows of the largest steam train ever to grace the tracks in NSW - Ethan sure does love his trains!

One last stop, the 'George IV Inn' (still in Picton) where they brew their own beer. Daddy didn't let him have any but Daddy told him it was very good albeit that it took Daddy two or three beers to come to that conclusion - hic! Perfect end to a perfect holiday and the end of avery busy month!
