Thirty Eighth Month

In Ethan's thirty eighth month he thought he would start off in 'chilled' fashion relaxing on the carpet and lookin' adorable, at least Mum and Dad thought so :-) Sorry to say we have no Canada Day photos this year... Ethan did celebrate however on July 1st, he went out to dinner with Mummy and Daddy and they enjoyed one of the bottles of Canadian wine they had brought back with them. He did not try it but they tell him it was good.

Now on the the events of the month...

In Australia June 3rd is a holiday for us, the Queen's Birthday! They don't even get a days holiday in England for this event but in Australia we do so we took advantage of the long weekend and headed off camping. Yes, middle of winter and Ethan went camping - only in Australia! We drove a few hours North to Lake Macquarie and camped at 'Wangi Wangi Point', it was recommended as a good spot for kayaking so 'S.S. Pa' made his first road trip since arriving in Fairlight last May.
As you can see the skies and the water were a beautiful blue...
Daddy and Ethan got up close to check out the fish before heading out for a paddle. Then after a long day at camp, Mum and Ethan settled in to watch the sunset by a cozy fire. It may be Australia but it still can get a bit chilly when the night time comes.

After a couple of nights "under canvass" Ethan then headed back to Manly where he enjoyed his annual visit to the Manly Food and Wine Festival. Here he is watching some of the entertainment with Nicky (while she enjoys some of the wine...).
Other visitors during the month included Ethan's friend from his old school, Charlie. Charlie and parents came to Manly for a Sunday morning Breakfast. We walked into town but the boys got a bit tired so had to share a ride on Ethan's balance bike.
Energy must be back... here they are climbing a tree with their Dads!
Ethan also hung out (literally...) with his friend from school and swimming lessons, Samara.
She had her own balance bike so Ethan did not have to share this time.
But it was kinda nice to share the slide with Samara...
Aside from all the fun, there are always jobs to be done... did not want you thinking it was all play and no work so finishing off with a shot of Ethan and Dad washing the windows. A boys work is never done!
