Thirty Fifth Month

In Ethan's Thirty Fifth Month he decided that he was a 'big boy' now and he did not need to drink from a sippy cup any more, he could drink from a glass at the table, just like Mummy and Daddy. He was so sure that he was ready for this, he put that green cup straight in the bin! Another milestone and certainly Mummy and Daddy are hoping that not drinking from this special cup before bed every night, will finally rid this household of 'sleep time' nappies. We are not there yet, but soon, hopefully.

Otherwise, Ethan decided to take it pretty easy this month. The weather in the last week has certainly cut down on plans for outdoor activities, so much rain... Ethan has taken to some indoor activities. Below you will see him engrossed in the movie 'Monster vs Alien' he went to see with Daddy, or is it the popcorn that has him so interested?
He also spent a day at our local indoor play center 'Lollipop Land', here he is in the Ballroom.Walking across the balance beam on his way up to the BIG slide. It's a big place you know, he needed a car to get from one end to the next...
And of course, helping out to make sure everyone has paid their entrance fee!!! During the month, before the rains set in... Ethan did manage to catch up with his friend Angelique, from his 'old' school, they spent the morning at Taronga zoo. Here he is showing her his favorite animals, the giraffes. They are still, just a little taller than Ethan... Angelique is French so he did get to practice the French he learned in Canada on her "french, french, french". But she did not understand, they much speak a different French in France...
And how could we forget Ethan and Daddy's infamous 'Fancy Pantry'... From Fran's cookbook recommendation in Vancouver Daddy ordered this book online while at Lou's in Montreal. Unfortunately, it did not manage to arrive before we left Canada, so... when it did arrived Lou gave it to her friend Bunny who gave it to her daughters friend that was visiting from Australia, who brought the book back to the Gold Coast, where Jodi (Bunny's daughter) lives. Jodi happened to be coming to Sydney that following weekend, met with the Q family, had a lovely breakfast in Coogee (we did get a photo but seem to have lost it somewhere)... and to end this long story this very well travelled cookbook is now in our hands, Phew, those recipes had better be good :-) We did say it was a quiet month so not much more to update but we have some special plans for next month so keep your "eyes open" for the special Birthday update...
