In Ethan's
Thirtieth Month he held his 3rd annual Halloween party. Ten of his friends showed up in their adorable outfits, played pass the parcel, hit the pinata and ate LOTS AND LOTS of lollies! Ethan dressed as a lion this year, unfortunately his mask did not stay on very long. Luckily Mum had put some lion make up on under that mask. His friend Elly thought his make needed a finishing touch so added in some yellow, orange and blue. So, a very colorful lion he was (above). He was the lion 'king' of the castle, until the rest of the kids showed up anyhow...

At the beginning of Ethan's thirtieth month there was the Manly Jazz Festival. The weather was not very good for this labor day long weekend but luckily the skies cleared up on the last day and he managed to get out and listen to a bit of jazz with Mum. Oh yes, you may notice he was wearing his Manly Seagulls shirt... remember last month was the Grand Final? Well Manly won, so Ethan and Dad have not taken their shirts off yet (pee ewe), MANLY (Ethan's Rugby League Team) are the champions!

Dad had a business trip to Orange (4 hours West of Sydney) during the month so Ethan and Mum tagged along for the weekend. Passing through Bathurst on the way to Orange, just by chance, it was the Bathurst 1000 (V8) races. Ethan decided to check out the races and what a treat it was. The cars were sooo fast, sooo loud (VROOM!), there were helicopters and planes every where, it was a little boys dream come true! Mum and Dad were pretty impressed when the Stig showed up and agreed to take a photo. You will have to be a 'Top Gear' fan to know who the Stig is...

When we finally made it to Orange he found it was a very quiet but cozy Country town. Ethan's favorite part was the scooter that came with the cottage we rented, might have to ask Santa for one of these...

Here we have Ethan and Dad at the top of Mount Canobolas, looking down on Orange. That was it for Orange, we said it was quiet :-)

At the beginning of this year when Pa was in town we bought a family tent but never managed to camp with Pa, the weather was not co-operating. FINALLY, this month we got to try out the new tent, what do you think? Ethan called it his home, compared to our old two man tent it was a home with two rooms and a front porch... we are now 5* campers it seems. It was only a weekend trip up to Forster (5hrs North) on the Friday night then along the Coast camping out at Myall Lakes National Park on the way back on Saturday night. Hopefully the weather co-operates more this summer because Ethan really does enjoy his 5* camping.
