Thirteenth Month

In Ethan's Thirteenth Month he is finally walking! He started about 2 weeks ago and was a real shock to Mummy. She was lying in bed with a head ache while Ethan played on the floor, she could hardly believe her eyes when he stood up and took a few steps. But he did it 2 more times so she knew it must be for real. It was another few days before he would do it in front of Dad but he did, he stood up and took a few steps in the middle of a cafe for all to see. Since then he has been practicing and is now taking up to 10 steps before falling over. With his 'Big red car' (walking toy) in front of him, his confidence grows and he runs through the house, running over whatever might get in his way...

Ethan also enjoyed his second Manly food & wine festival, he certainly enjoyed it more than last year but he was only one month old then. It was a beautiful day and he played on the beach while Mum & Dad drank and ate. Then sat on his bike and enjoyed listening to the jazz bands with a glass in hand. Don't worry, Mummy had finished off the wine before handing the glass over :-)

Ethan has been in day care for 4 weeks now and is really settling in well. The first few days were exciting, he wouldn't eat or sleep, just wanted to PLAY. Then he started to realize what was happening and got a little upset when being dropped off but still enjoyed PLAYING. Now Ethan is happy to be dropped off, naps for a few hours every day and quite often eats 2 portions of the lunch they serve.

Ethan still hasn't spoken any words but we still think he is a very clever little guy. He doesn't even watch any television but I suppose he see's Mummy & Daddy watching and using the remote control in the evenings so if he manages to get his hands on the remote he picks it up and points at the TV, very smart boy :-)
