In Ethan's Ninth Month he celebrated his first Australia Day (January 26th). He is half English/half Canadian but he proved himself 100% Australian by waving his Aussie flag with pride as we spent the day celebrating in Manly.

The family has been getting out into the bush this month as we now have a baby backpack and are no longer restricted by pram paths... Ethan has now 'hiked' a number of scenic walks including, Collaroy, North Head, around Manly Dam and has done the Spit to Manly hike twice! He is enjoying every moment and has not suffered with the heat or strain, Dad on the other hand is slowing down a little but Mum is happy as finally she can keep up.
Ethan was weighed in yesterday at 9.75kg. He now has 2 top teeth to give him a total of 4. Time to start using that tooth brush so he has added that to his daily routine. Not quite sure what to do with the tooth brush but is happy to stick it in his mouth and suck on it as he does with everything else within his reach these days.
Ethan really is on the move now, the last few days in December were the start but now there is just no stopping him. He is an crawler extraordinaire and just loves to explore every corner of his home and any where else we let him loose. As he crawls about he also pulls himself up on anything he can find, has a look around, then sits back down to move on to find his next lookout.
So now Ethan is just eagerly awaiting the arrival of his Aunt Yvonne. She leaves Canada tomorrow and is due to arrive in Australia on Tuesday. Next month is sure to have lots of adventures with his Auntie in town!!!
