November 2011

In November 2011 Ethan went to his final 'big school' transition days AND had a practice weekend at his current school wearing his uniform and bringing his pack lunch. I guess this means he truly is ready for big school... (?)

======================================================

If not, big Ethan will be there to help him out. Transition days included plenty of play time so the Ethan's are best of buddies now!During the month, FINALLY, Ethan got the pets he has been waiting for so long. The Guinea Pig house renovations were complete as you can see. And Ethan now has 2 Guinea Pig sons (yes, Shannon & Carlton are Grandparents!). After weeks of polling, discussing, debating... the gp's were named 'Scrappy' (reddy brown with white nose) and 'Yoda' (dark brown face). They seem to be settling in well, Ethan will keep you posted.We had hoped to get 2 gp's from Myalls Away farm but they only had a boy & girl so Ethan went to the farm, met & fell in love with Scrappy. When he got back to Manly, the local pet shop had only one baby boy gp, it was fate, Scrappy and Yoda were meant to be mates.

This of course meant another visit to the farm. Unfortunately the Jorgensen family were busy and could not join us this time but Tristan came without his family. It was a naughty boy weekend get-away (not really - they are always good boys but could not resist the photo).

At the farm, Claire makes every stay interesting with new animals that have arrived, this visit we threw the boys in with some 'DANGEROUS DOGS'! Not really, the sign lies, these were 2 beautiful dogs that have been wrongly labelled after a silly neighbor called the police. Kind Claire is watching the dogs and following all 'dangerous dog' laws until they can appeal. Ethan & Tristan enjoyed playing, feeding and walking them, most certainly not dangerous.The naughty boys had a night out starting with a fine dining experience at a local vineyard.Then on to this years Christmas light display at the Hunter Valley Botanical Gardens. A big night for two 5 year old boys, almost 9:30... and they got to listen to Dolly Parton singing live and in person as they drove home through the vineyards, a great boyz weekend it was.For anyone that may have forgotten, next Month is Christmas!!! Ethan is all set and really looking forward to it this year. He has posted his cards, sent off a letter to Santa.

Sang beautifully at this school Christmas concert!

With his good buddies Tristan, Olivia & Tyson of course.
Had a chat with Santa. But was it all enough? Has he been a good boy, but was it good enough for Santa to stop by on the 24th? We will soon see...
