Twenty Third Month

In Ethan's twenty third month he very much enjoyed his 2nd visit from the Easter Bunny. Mum and Dad were very surprised but when he came down those stairs with the bag they had given him and the hat he had made himself at day care, all they had to do was point out one Easter egg and he was off. He knew just what to do... charging around saying "more, more" he found those eggs one by one and put them all into his little Easter bag. By Easter Sunday he knew what they were but the week earlier when a shop gave him his first chocolate egg of the year he was very pleased and would not let go but when Mummy asked what it was he said "ball"??? He learned quickly after that foil came off this was much different to any ball he had ever had before, mmmmm, c-h-o-c-o-l-a-t-e!!! Ethan had another visitor from the UK, Becky made her 3rd trip over but this time she brought along her husband Lee for Ethan to meet. Ethan enjoyed their visit, it meant a very nice walk with them, breakfast in Bondi and dinner out at the Wharf bar one evening. He would like them to come again soon "Peas" (Please).

Ethan still remembers very well his first boat trip with Von and Pa back in January and asked Mummy and Daddy for another boat ride so off we went last weekend for a short trip around Manly cove, this time we got a photo. Ethan has taken to telling his Mum and Dad what to do of late, he especially likes to dictate where they sit! At the dinner table, in the car, he points "Mummy sit", points again "Daddy sit", and we comply. Very cute at this point but I think it might start to get a bit much, we will humour him for now...

Sadly Ethan's friend and neighbours (Ella) moved back to the UK this month. She came round for brunch before she left and posed for some photos wearing Ethan's bat man mask. Ethan wore his monkey hat that Pa bought for him proudly (yes Pa, he just loves wearing it now, wore it to school this week as well!). Ethan is missing Ella but guys have to move on you know so not a week later and he had another neighbour (Ellie) over for a dinner date, he's a charmer our Ethan :-)

With only one more month to go before his 2nd Birthday, Ethan certainly has become a little boy. He loves to talk and tell jokes even if Mum and Dad don't understand, he does his best to share all of his stories. His favorite songs are 'Bah, Bah, black sheep' and 'wheels on the bus' and he loves to sing along. Where he cannot remember the words, he just makes some up but stays in tune, much like his Daddy :-)
We will finish off this month some more shots of Ethan just hangin' out and looking cool on Manly beach last weekend.... We are just making up for the lack of shots last month with our new camera.

Oh yes Ethan is very proud to say his parents became Australian citizens this month and stuck a photo at the end. No your eyes aren't funny, the photo is fuzzy... can't blame that one on the camera just the passer by that was asked to take the photo... I think she had one too many of the complimentary champagnes and was shaking a little. That really is it for this month now.
