In August 2012 Ethan's first soccer season came to an end.  It finished with a bang - a 'Gala day' was held and all the teams were assigned a Country and played against each other through out the day.    The Mighty bears played in blue for 'England' and they didn't win but had a great day, trophies and ribbons for everyone.  What a great season it was, Ethan will be back for many more I am sure.

August was a sporty month indeed, there was a Sports Carnival at Manly Village, the entire school was bused out to Narabeen sports track for a day of sport.  They watched and learned as the big kids went first...

Then had a go themselves (Ethan was on the blue team again!).

It was a close race, that boy in red was in the lead but Ethan sure was working hard.

Didn't quite catch that red boy but passed the green one to come in 2nd, well done Ethan!!!

It wasn't all so serious at the sports day, what's a sports carnival without an egg & spoon race :-)

Back at school, Mummy stopped by for this months assembly and got to see Ethan & Lachie hard at work in the classroom....

Before watching the class perform 'Do Re Mi' from the sound of music.  This was also a good excuse for Ethan to watch the movie at home for the first time, one of Mummy's favorites, Ethan & Mummy were able to sing along to all the songs together!

Last but certainly not least, Ethan was given a merit award at the assembly for 'Excellent Journal Writing'.  Mum is thinking Ethan should be writing this blog himself very soon...!!!
