Twenty first month

In Ethan's Twenty first month he celebrated his second Australia day with 'Pa' (Grampa Glynn) and 'Von' (Auntie Yvonne) in town. We spent the morning in Sydney between the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, watching the annual ferry race then finished off with a drink at the 'Australian Hotel'. He also did his best to show them the sites during the month visiting the Hunter Valley, Taronga Zoo, Bobbin Head and Palm Beach (where Ethan went for his first Kayak ride and had to help in the rescue of 'Pa' and 'Vons' capsize...).

He finished the month off with a week in Tasmania, touring for 6 days in 'Dina' the campervan (licence plate was 'TNT', e.g. Dinamite). It was tight in our little campervan, 4 adults and one toddler but Ethan kept total control by issuing roll call from his top bunk at 6am every day "Dada?" "Mama?" "Von?" "Pa?". Then repeat as many times as necessary until he was sure that everyone was there and wide awake...

While in 'Tassie' Ethan visited the Tasman peninsula coal mines, Port Arthur, Nine Mile Beach, Freycinet National Park, Wine Glass Bay, Friendly Beach, St Helens, Diana's Basin, Oatlands, Richmond and Hobart. Ethan pulled his weight, navigating from Daddies back pack as we did the 3 hour return hike to Wine Glass Bay (photo below), making sure Mum and Dad were up for sunrise on Friendly beach and helping Daddy to dig out the fire pit at Diana's Basin (dirty job but someone had to do it!).

Today Ethan dropped off 'Pa' and 'Von' at the airport for their return flight home. It was a sad day for Ethan, he has grown very attached to his Aunti and Grampa, hopefully it will not be too long before he gets to see them again.
