Nineteenth Month

In Ethan's Nineteenth month he made another trip to Melbourne with Mum and Dad. Mum had a conference to go to but we all spent the weekend before hand with Christie, Eiko and Jade. Holding hands in the park and then a cozy dinner for two, Ethan was even more taken with Jade this visit, following her around everywhere she went...

While Mum was at the conference Ethan and Dad explored the city, the Botanical gardens then met up with Mum in the evening to have dinner on the South bank, looking out over the river at the rowers while we waited for dinner to arrive.

Back in Sydney at Ethan's day care they continued with their theme days, this month included another pajama party, a recycle day and 'Diwali' the Indian festival of lights. A friend from Mum's work kindly lent him this outfit to wear on Diwali, he was the talk of day care. Was very proud of himself and actually wore the hat and vest all day long.

When we got back from Melbourne Ethan had a minor operation, he has had grommets inserted in his ears as his glue ear had not cleared up itself. He was a very brave boy and was not fazed in the least, Mum and Dad did all of the worrying... Ethan cannot get his ears wet with the grommet's so swimming and bath time will be a little more difficult now having to use ear plugs but we are told we should see a significant difference with his hearing and speech in the next few weeks.

Last but certainly not least, Ethan had some very exciting news come in at the end of this month. His Grandfather is coming over from Canada and will be arriving on December 30th, just in time to celebrate New Years (and Grampa's Birthday...) with us. He will be staying until the 4th of February and then flying back to Canada with Auntie Yvonne. Ethan cannot wait to meet his Grampa Glynn!!!
